Magnificent pearl earrings go under the hammer at W.A. Bolin’s spring auction
This spring’s jewellery auction offered exclusive pieces to delight all jewellery lovers. In total, the hammer price for all the jewellery sold was SEK 8,500,000 (including commission).
All the phone lines were busy when a pair of pearl earrings in platinum with teardrop baroque grey pearls and brilliant diamonds went under the hammer (no. 274). Bidding started at SEK 38,000 and by the time the hammer came down the bidding had reached SEK 294,000 (including commission).
There was great interest in an exquisite necklace in silver on 14 carat gold (no. 272) and a brooch in 14 carat gold with a large pink spinel (no. 273), both with provenance as the property of Alice Keiller, First Lady of the Court of King Gustav V. They fetched far above their starting prices, demonstrating the increased interest seen recently in quality antique jewellery.
A wonderful ecuelle (dish) from Fabergé (no. 125) with provenance from the Nobel family fetched SEK 147,000 including commission.
Many clients commented on the interesting and varied range of pieces on offer in this auction.
Items are already being accepted for the autumn auction, which will take place on Sunday 17 November 2013.

Diamond finds at W.A. Bolin’s jewellery auction
On Sunday 22 April Court Jeweller W.A. Bolin will hold its popular jewellery auction. Timeless, magnificent and personal jewellery for all those who are passionate about jewellery will go under the hammer. The spring auction’s combined starting prices amount to SEK 19 million.
The auction’s most splendid ring is a 10.14 ct Natural Fancy Brownish Yellow brilliant diamond flanked by two fancy cut diamonds totalling 1.65 ct, starting price SEK 1,700,000 (no. 54). We also have a very exclusive 6.44 ct cushion cut diamond surrounded by two diamonds totalling 1.13 ct, starting price SEK 680,000 (no. 150).
One of the auction’s most beautiful bracelets is in platinum and gold with white and yellow diamonds, 23.16 ct, starting price SEK 520,000, (no. 55). If you are looking for a rivière bracelet, there will be a large selection at this auction.
Diamond necklaces, exquisite pearl necklaces and pendants featuring coloured gemstones are well represented. There is an elegant, international class necklace in platinum, a tasteful design in a graduated motif with teardrop cut, marquise cut and round brilliant diamonds, 50.50 ct, starting prices SEK 880,000 (no. 161). Brooches are also coming back in fashion and we have a large range of them at our spring auction.
From Fabergé comes an exquisite little nephrite ecuelle with two sapphires set in bi-colour gold, made before 1914, no original stamps, a fitted case marked Fabergé, St. Petersburg Moscow London is included. Starting price SEK 130,000 (no. 125).
A pair of exclusive pearl earrings with teardrop pearls and brilliant diamonds, starting price SEK 40,000 (no. 1) is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a pair of beautiful earrings for a festive occasion.

Exclusive diamond earrings from Van Cleef et Arpels go under the hammer at Court Jeweller W.A. Bolin’s autumn auction
Jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels was represented at this autumn’s auction with a number of pairs of fantastic earrings. The most expensive earrings in the auction were a pair of 18 carat gold earrings with 20 square-cut diamonds, which went under the hammer for SEK 552,000.
A pair of very elegant earrings with yellow sapphires and diamonds from Dior were also much appreciated and fetched SEK 185,000.
A fantastic pendant in platinum with diamonds from the early 20th century sold for SEK 86,000 (starting price SEK 68,000). As always, diamonds of various sizes attracted great interest.
This auction offered wonderful luxury and beautiful jewels. The spring auction will take place on Sunday 21 April 2013.

Spectacular jewellery at Court Jeweller W.A. Bolin’s autumn auction
On Sunday 18 November Court Jeweller W.A. Bolin will hold its big jewellery auction, offering elegant, exclusive and decorative jewellery for all devoted jewellery lovers. There will be jewellery for all occasions. The total starting price of the autumn auction pieces is SEK 23 million.
A number of Europe’s big jewellery houses are represented at the autumn auction. Magnificent earrings from Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior and Chanel are among the pieces offered (no. 156, 251, 103).
The auction is offering a pair of exclusive party earrings from Van Cleef & Arpels in gold with various diamonds (no. 252) at a starting price of SEK 590,000. A fantastic ring with a top quality 3.54 carat diamond (no. 296) is being offered for SEK 1.4 million. A pair of spectacular stud earrings (no. 68) with diamonds of around 5 carats each is unique in the auction and has a starting price of SEK 900,000. Also being auctioned is a very elegant rivière necklace in platinum with 86 graduated diamonds amounting to 34.26 carats; bids from SEK 780,000 are invited (no. 93).
Dating from the early 20th century, an exquisite platinum pendant with diamonds is enchantingly beautiful. Bids are invited from SEK 68,000 (no. 8).
A sensational private collection of basket brooches designed by Barbro Littmarck for W.A. Bolin will also go under the hammer (no. 211, 212, 213, 214). These decorative gold brooches with diamonds and coloured gemstones are a work of art in themselves. Barbro Littmarck was Bolin’s chief designer between 1941 and 1983.
Rarely has so much interesting jewellery been offered for sale. The jewellery is not only beautiful to wear; it also represents a stable investment at a time when the financial market is not performing well.
